My artwork captures the subject’s essence with a poignantly sensitive classic realism. My paintings are composed to express the spirit and the charm of the subject in a moment in time. I believe in the strength and permanence of classic art and draw inspiration from the Old Masters. I consider Rembrandt and Velasquez my most significant influences.

My formal education began at the National Academy School of Design of New York, the Art Students League, the Chicago Art Institute and continued at the New York Art Academy in Manhattan. I won the Lowndes award for art and have received numerous other awards and grants. I studied portrait painting with some of the best artists in the field, including Sherry Canhy, Dan Gheno, Mary Beth McKenzie, and Sam Adoquie.

My work has been in high demand, including commissions from Europe, Australia, England, Canada, and the United States. I work in my studio in New Jersey for most of the year. My latest exhibitions include the National Academy Museum, NY, and the Queens Museum, NY. My studio is in Mullica Hill, where I live with my wife and son.
